I was born an army brat. My parents met and married in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri where I was born. We moved to California where my first sister was born. Then we moved to Germany where my second sister was born. Then we moved to Texas where my third sister was born. At this point my parents figured out what was causing the babies so they stopped moving.

I always had a desire to perform. Being a litle short on courage and self-confidence in those days, I kept my ambitions mostly to myself and, after a brief tour of duty in the Navy, I made a career doing something sensible — I went into software development.

Some years later (almost 20) I took voice lessons and began singing. After a few years of this I auditioned for the New Haven (CT) Chorale and was accepted. Then I sang with a small, amateur group performing Irish folk music. A few more years went by and I branched out on my own singing Irish folk music, some oldies, and some popular songs as a solo act.
